I have read this quote often - 'Dad - a son’s first hero, a daughter’s first love'. I have a daughter and I can vouch for this completely! It is not what I believe I am to her, it's what she believes I am. For her and for all the kids around the world, fathers mean infinite (enter any word here), and that's what a father is to be. When my daughter was about 5 years old, she used to believe I can call God directly from my mobile phone. Well, with such an angel in front of me, I never needed to call God for anything!
The celebration of fathers is not for a day or two; it lasts a lifetime and beyond as well. To commemorate all fathers in our team, we organised a photo shoot in our office where all the dads came with their sons and/or daughters and posed for the camera. The idea was to capture not just a picture but that invisible yet undeniable bond between a father and his child/ren. It was a day where all the fathers, including Yours Truly, realised that every single kid simply aspires to be exactly like his/her father. While this does feel super loving, it's also an enormous responsibility to be a great one at that.
So, to all the fathers from one - 'you guys rock and continue doing so'! All of you have made Upside Learning a great place to work. We are happy and proud to have you at UpsideLMS and making it a special part of your family. Thank you everyone and have a great Father’s Day with your loving ones.
As I sign off, let me leave you with a quote from Khalil Gibran - “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth." As fathers we need to give our children the right direction and the all the strength they need. Happy Father's Day, once again!
Below are some father-child/ren moments we captured:
