Imposter syndrome. Sexism. Maternity leave. The glass ceiling. Low representation at the table. Gender bias. These are just a few of the challenges that disproportionately affect women and perpetuate the leaky pipeline metaphor.
Women held 50.04% of American jobs as of December 2019. While that’s an improvement by 49.7% over the previous year, a lot needs to be done in the areas of Diversity and Inclusion, women leadership and women-centric training programs. Sample this - Men continue to dominate senior leadership positions at corporate organizations with just 5% of Fortune 500 companies being led by women. 16 percent of women report having no access to a workplace L&D program versus just 4% of males.
